San Francisco General Hospital Foundation “Hearts in SF” 2020
I was selected as an artist to create images on the iconic “Hearts in SF” project. The title of my design is “The Bay”. Traditional gilders leafing technique is combined with modern street art and patina effects. These styles were used to create a playful image of our landmarks. Artist Ian Montgomery and Artist Jeremy Novy www.JeremyNovyStencils.com were invited to create with me. The heart features their work prominently.
The message in the bottle is featured on “The Bay”.
The heart will be auctioned to raise funds for mental health care for those who can not afford it in February of 2020. www.SFGHF.org

"Escala" Sales Show Room for luxury condominiums. Our company designed and installed the recessed lighting in the ceiling. A temporary curved wall replicating the view from the upper floors enabled the sales team to create the view that was currently under construction. We designed and built a wood wall, covered it with the vinyl image and created the lighting that was programmed to go from day light to twilight. 2004 Display Maker Productions
The "Winter Trees" installations through out Sea Tac International Airport was the port authority's response to the uproar of denominational holiday displays. They created a competition open to the public, our concept was chosen. The lighting effects changed and snow effects fell from the ceiling. 2007, Display Maker Productions

Over 250, 000 visitors walked through the 80' long Santa's workshop annually while gazing upon toys moving on conveyor belts and peeking into Santa's busy atelier while the elves were sleeping. At the end of the workshop was the barn with automated reindeer's swaying in their stalls next to where Santa was seated on his sleigh for photos.

"The House of Dancing Water" for Franco Dragone was a new production in Macau, PRC in 2009- 2010. My titles included Lead Shop Carpenter, Proxy Head of Department, Relief Lead Stage Carpenter. What this means is that I lead a team from many different countries with different languages into a working unit to complete the build of a technically elite water show. I oversaw the operation of the metal and wood shops for all departments uses. I created a training program where all members of the technical team were trained in the use of the shop tools and protocol.
Our vendors were also from many countries and it was my job to problem solve through research and experience to get systems to work together that had been designed for different types of uses. We implimented theatrical, industrial, military, aeronautical, civil engineering and agricultural equipment to create the magic of the show.
My proudest accomplishment on this project was keeping the standards of safety incredibly high. No team member was injured during the show build.

A concept is conceived then a group of artist are hired or volunteer to execute the idea. Each individual brings forth a piece of their own style or vision to the project.
A few of the large collaborations that I have participated in: "The Crude Awakening" at Burning Man- Project Manger, Welder/Artist, Rigger.
"The Last Stand" by Headless Point Studios at Burning Man. We received images drawn by anyone in the world then cut them in steel, fabricated bases, then placed them on thousands of square feet of grass in the desert.
We added miles of fence that you had to walk through to access the lush green lawn in an arid ancient lake bed. Project Manager, Image rendering, CNC Plasma Cutting team, Artist, Metal Worker, Welder.
"The Serpent Mother" by the Flaming Lotus Girls, installation at Robodock, Amsterdam- Technical Producer to support the American artist to navigate the Dutch regulations, conversions and safety guidelines.
The presentation of Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite, Flight of the Pheonix" at Robodock in Amsterdam, the Netherlands by the Berlin Pyrophonikers, Resonators de La Machine, Mechanique Vivante, and others. Through the use of fire effects, horns and custom instruments and performance on an old ship building dock- my main role was working with the four groups from different countries to create a safety plan, and to convince the city inspectors how and why what we were doing was of minimal danger and to create a crowd control and crisis management plan if something were to go wrong. I also assisted in building the river for the audience to interact with by sending their wishes written on paper boats down the river to the Phoenix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA_Mrc82I9c

The students were instructed in hands-on scenic painting and fabrication. 2007-2009

Through IATSE Local 16, for BBI Engineering I managed the fabrication and installation of the public viewing and listening room located in the historic Ft. Point for Bill Fontana's "International Orange". Live audio and video feed was sent from the bridge to the fort below in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge.
